I did a clean install of Windows 7. I wanted the Hardware Diagnostics Tool software back on my computer that was erased. I have found how reinstall software that came preinstalled on your computer.

click on start button

In the "Search Programs and Files" box type run

Click on the run icon at the top.

In the run dialog box type D:\HP\APPS    D: represents the partition drive that has the factory image saved on it.

My first APP file is APP00103 - this app is for CyberLinkPowerDirector.

Double click that folder, then double click the folder that says src.

scroll down until you find the setup application icon.

double click this and now you are installing the program.

You can go to the other APPS and do the same thing to install other programs.

Good Luck

one problem i had to wipe my HD due to an hd52-2w error and reinstall /restore everythijg  and i lost the partuition

I noticed however in the recovery manager that it would give me the option tob reinstall programs from my recovery discs,  I would do it if I'd not be afraid that it'd instal every program  will it do that or will it let me choose?

Hi All,

I do not understand the last few pages of messages. They are not detailed enough. Also, some messages have been deleted.

I contacted HP Support and they called me back. HP contends that Windows 7 Home Premium that came with my computer is OEM.

Any upgrades, like Windows 7 Professional is a MS upgrade, therefore MS is responsible.

I then contacted CyberLink for their help to get WebCam 3 back. They were very gracious and sent me the link to download the full program

and the password to authorize it in my computer. It worked and I am satisfied. I do not care if I see HP in, or on, my display again. They really

proved to not support their products. What else is new? CyperLink rocks!!!

Scipizoa, it actually says you can't re-download the CyberLink suite from the recovery manager. I'm surprised you still have recovery manager if you wiped out your whole HD. I wiped out mine and I no longer have recovery manager.

Try installing the following from HP Support site:

Sp44453.ex ab HP Support Seite: Cyberlink DVD Suite application adds support for Windows 7

sp444352 Cyberlink Power Director application update

sp44351 Cyberlink Label Print

sp44350 Cyberlink Power2Go

in my case these worked (Windows 7 professional after a clean install)!

good luck.

they would do that but for some of them the problem was the updates would not install correctly, so for many like me, getting our hands on the old version and reinstalling them  in compatibility mode for vista is a better option
