I am Still getting Wifi disconnects and there is nothing that is i can do other than a reboot,my question is hp aware of this issue and if so what are they intending to do about it.if they cannot fix this issue then i may have to retur the tablet to the store and try to get a refund as it is becoming s regular as to be unfit for purpose.
I am assuming That i am on the latest version of the software which the tablet is showing as ...
Model number HP Slate 7 2801
Android Version 4.1.1
kernel version 3.0.8
build number HP_slate7 v1.05.10_user
these wi-fi dropouts are becoming unacceptable it should not be happening in a modern OS.

I understand you are frustrated with the wireless dropping on your Slate 7 Tablet.
I researched this and found others are not having the same issue.
Other info needed.
Is it when you are home or out?
Who is your internet provider?
How many devices does your Internet provider support?
Here is a document on wireless make sure your Bluetooth is off while connecting WiFi.

I was wondering if you have done the updates?
Did you notice the Message about channel 13 for Internet users?
Channel 1- 11 is the best for this device.
Also go into setup --> WiFi --> advanced settings --> "Keep WiFi on during sleep and set it to never.
Let me know.

There are many of us having this problem - take a look at posts tagged with "wifi_quit". My device has the same problem.
Updates have not resolved the issue. The issue occurs wherever I take the tablet.
Why are you telling us to have BlueTooth off while Wifi is active? I use a BlueTooth keyboard often when answering posts while the Slate7 is connected via Wifi. Doesn't seem to affect connectivity.

Open the phone dialer
Hit the Menu Button and Select WIFI
Turn off Power saving Mode and close the screen.
Hope it helps.

The next step is to restore or replace the operating system image on the supported tablet models running the Google Android Jelly Bean Operating System.
