I don't have the device, but usually there is a tiny diagram of an SD card near the slot. The diagram will show which side the beveled corner should be on when the card is inserted.
Make sure the card looks like the diagram and insert it until you feel spring pressure, then a tiny bit more until you feel the click. Remove it by pressing again until the click is felt, then it should pop out from spring pressure.
Hopefully someone who has this device will chime in and state plainly which side is "up"!

As a matter of fact, it doesn't show a diagram. Just a miniscule icon of a SD card adjacent to the slot. The reason I asked is that others have reported getting them stuck and having to "pull them out with pliers". Didnt want to have to do that.
It's probably a moot point as the 4.2 still doesn't allow data/apps to the SD. I hear 4.4 Kitkat will, if we ever get it.
