HP G2 tablet
Android 5.0 Lollipop

I purchased two HP G2 tablets for my son and husband for Christmas.  Neither one of them will allow me to save to the sd card.  I want to save VUDU movies and apps to the sd card but it is not working.

@hunbun7514

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand you are having issues with saving into the SD card,

I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:

What is the product number of your product? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/rs-en/document/c03754824

(Do not share any personal information such as serial number, email ID, phone number or address on a public forum for your safety).

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

Do you have any file manager installed on your computer?

Please reply with the details for further assistance.

In the meantime, please remember that none of the apps can be moved to the SD card, however, if its individual data such as movies, music or files, try the below steps as the memory card may have been locked and you need to unlock it:

If the lock switch is not on lock:
1. Slide the switch up and down. Repeat this 3 times.
2. Let it stay on the Lock position for 30 seconds.
3. Slide the switch up to unlock the card.
4. Try to transfer files into the device.

If the steps are performed exactly as mentioned, it should be working without any issues.

Keep me posted,

If the information I've provided was helpful,

Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

That'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.
