august.JPGBack to school season for many families means new pencils, notebooks, and teachers, right? Well here on the HP Support Forum, it means brand new printers, laptops, and desktop PCs that members have questions about. As the weather starts to cool in the northern half of the world, the HP Support Forum heats up, so if you've got a problem to solve, you've come to the right place! Welcome new members and visitors, we're glad to have you onboard.

In August, we held a special Expert Day to help get your printer or peripheral working with the new MacOS Mountain Lion release. The event was an enormous success, with many problems solved, and our HP MacOS Experts had a blast fielding your questions.

Did you miss the big event? We'll you're in luck, because we'll be hosting an even larger Computing and Printing Expert Day in September.  The upcoming event will occur for 24 hours this week, right here on the HP Support Forum. So, be ready with your tough questions for the HP Experts. There were more than 250 Experts participating in our last big bang event, and we expect even more this time! Expert Day will also be taking place on the Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Enterprise Business forums, and all computing and printing topics are fair game.

As is our monthly tradition, it's now time to recognize two community members who really raised the bar during August.

First I'd like to showcase someone who is very new to the forum. Dannymsckl joined the forum on a couple of weeks ago, and so far, he has written 55 posts, received 5 kudos, and had one accepted solution. It's great to have you here, dannymsckl! Hopefully we'll continue to see you around the boards.

The second person I'd like to introduce you to this month is DavidPK, one of our forum ExpertsDavidPK has been featured in this column several times before, and he'll be celebrating his two year anniversary on the forums this month. He currently holds the record for the most posts, kudos, and accepted solutions of ANY MEMBER IN THE COMMUNITY. During August he authored 108 solutions and received 227 kudos, which was the highest of any member in August. One grateful member said, "Thank you so much DavidPK!! I will certainly be coming back to these forums for any issues I have in the future. Thank you very much, once again." Exactly as he said, DavidPK... thank you so much for everything you do here - know that we truly value your contributions.

Please join me in applauding and thanking these two members. I'm sure they'd love a couple of kudos too! 😉
