In this week's featured post, SEgin came to the forum seeking help. He'd accidentally left his car door open one night. Nope his car didn't get stolen. He'd left his laptop in his car, and luckily that didn't get stolen either! So, what happened, you ask? Well, it rained! And, sadly his notebook computer got waterlogged.
Is it possible to save a computer after a water dump such as this? Well, maybe, maybe not. Erico provided a really great video (funny too!) that details a number of methods that may help to restore power to the wet device, involving a variety of drying devices from cotton balls to hairdryers.
Sadly, in SEgin's case, his motherboard is not salvageable, but hopefully others may be helped by the advice erico provided. Moral of the story... keep your computer away from water, and whatever you do, don't leave it out in the rain!
