The story of this week is really the unparalleled success of EXPERT DAY, an event that took place for 24 hours beginning at 7am on April 18th (Pacific Time).
The great thing about the HP Support Forums is that there are always Experts hanging out answering questions and fixing problems. On Expert Day though, we FLOOD the forums with HP Experts - these are engineers and many other technical specialists taking a break from their day jobs to assist members with their computing and printing questions online.
This Expert Day, we had the most Experts we have ever had participating, and they hailed from every region worldwide to provide 24 hour coverage for the event.

March will go down in history as a truly groundbreaking month in the existence of the HP Support Forums!
We held our first ever face-to-face HP Social Support Summit with many of our top Experts attending. It was such a pleasure to finally meet these talented individuals in person.
The passion that these Experts share for this community is inspirational, and it was fantastic to experience the knowledge sharing that occurred during the conference. Our hope is that these learnings will have a lasting positive impact for the HP Support Forum and its members.
As is our monthly tradition, it is now time to reveal the two members, one newbie and veteran, who have made their mark on the forums during the previous month.
HP's 7 language Consumer Support Communities have been growing at an astronomical rate since they were launched, just a couple of years ago. It is so tremendous and INSPIRING to see how many members now contribute regularly to the HP Forums and in other social media venues. We've explored many ways to reward and thank our top Experts. These individuals are so dedicated, helpful, passionate, friendly, and they really Make a Difference in the lives of so many HP customers. These Experts continue to share their vast knowledge and expertise, showing incredible commitment to this Community and to HP.
We decided that the very best way to celebrate these extraordinarily talented Experts would be to escape from the virtual world for just a moment.

When you need customer service support from a company, whether it's phone or online chat, how long do you typically wait for help? 10 minutes? 20? 30? Sometimes even a whole hour, right? I once waiting on hold for 45+ minutes just to order a part for my broken doorknob.
Well the Consumer Support Forum might just be the best way to go, because often, an answer will be given in just a couple of minutes... in true Disney's Speedy Gonzales style!
In this week's showcased post, we'll see an example of just that - an answer was received in only 6 minutes. Continue reading to learn more.
The highlight of January on the Consumer Support Forum was definitely Expert Day. This was the biggest Expert Day yet, with more than 200 Experts answering questions on the boards.
Hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves and got their questions answered. If you missed it, don't worry, there are always Experts solving problems on the boards (so go ahead... post!). Our next Expert Day will happen in April, so keep your eye on this post for details as they are available.

One would think that with all of the holiday celebrations and vacations in December, that the HP Support Forum would be fairly quiet. That is definitely not the case. As people receive new HP products as gifts (or gifts to themselves!), this Community becomes a great place to turn to for answers to questions they may have.
This good cheer continues into January, as we hold our first Expert Day of 2012 on January 11th and 12th. You can learn more about the event by checking out this page.
It's now time to introduce you to two of our members who excelled during the past month. Keep reading to find out who they are.
Uh oh! Spill water on your laptop?
Perhaps you left it out in the rain. Or maybe your toddler spilled her sippy all over it. Or, maybe it accidentally fell into a toilet? Hopefully not, although I hear this happens with cell phones all the time!
Well, more than likely, if your PC has been drenched with water, it's probably "hosed," but don't despair, because there are some steps to try that may work for you. Read on to learn more in the post of the week.
This is the time of year that for many is characterized by a wonderful spirit of giving. The showcased post of the week is a perfect example of that generosity and sharing that we all love so much.
This collaboration is what ultimately makes the HP Support Forum such a great community and is why more and more members are returning as their first choice for support and advice on their HP products.
