We are using T510 and T610 devices with linux OS.
Is there a way to set the VDI connection to automatically remember the username of the last login?

Withou some heavy coding, this is not possible.
I have asked for this before and been advised is was a Citrix client/receiver requirement that the last username not be displayed.

Can you please confirm which HP Linux are you using.
There is ThinPro and Smart Zero
With Smart Zero and using Smart Client Services, which is the tool used to configure Smart Zero thin clients, there is settings that should enable you to do what you need.
On the Smart Client Services server, open up the profile editor and look under
Set this etting to one and you should be good to go
"RememberMe" does not work for Citrix connections but it may work for View connections

I am using the ThinPro platform with HP Device Manager 4.5 SP2
so there is no "zero-login" key (I tried to search it through the regeditor)
Can you explain me how to achive this goal while using ThinPro

Again, I have not tested but this is something to give a try.
Create your VMware View connection and setup as per your requirements.
Then, switch to Admin mode (you will need a password) and Control Panel advanced, start and X-Term.
Type "regeditor" and the registry editor will launch.
Explore to to the banch show in the picture below and look for saveCredentials. Set this to 1 and test connection.

Thank you for your quick reply, I had tested your proposed solution but unfortunately it didn't help.
I saw on others Thin Client vendors with VMware VDI connection support that the last login username is saved by default.
Is there something else I can do to make it work?

Sorry the suggestion did not work for you. I really thought/hoped that it would.
I will relay my experience when a customer of mine requested this feature for Citrix. Feedback I received was the Citrix did not allow/want this feature enabled. Sounded strange to me but my customer did not want to push so I stopped there.
My best suggestion is to log a case with HP on the device requesting this feature. That way you will get an "official" answer, and may be a fix/work around from deep inside HP instead of advice from some dweeb hanging around support forums late at night when he should be in bed
