HP Z820 Code 35: but I can't update my BIOS with versions available on support

I'm trying to install a new Quadro K5000 into a Z820 and the drivers won't fully take.

I get the following error:

Your computer's system firmware does not include enough information to properly configure and use this device.  To use this device, contact your computer manufacturer to obtain a firmware or BIOS update. (Code 35)

I have tried updating the firmware but it looks as though the version of my BIOS may not be updatable.

Vendor:

Hewlett-Packard

Version:

J63 v00.36

Release Date:

10/20/2011

Starting Address Segment:

0xF000

ROM Size:

16 MB

Image Size:

64 KB

System BIOS Release:

0.36

Is there an interim release of the BIOS that will allow me to update to one of the current versions?

Re: HP Z820 Code 35: but I can't update my BIOS with versions available on support

Indeed, there is an interim version of the Z820 BIOS:

Go to web page:

HP Z820 Workstation -  Download drivers and software - HP Business Support Center

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=5225043&...

Here, under BIOS heading, select first

HP Z820 Workstations System BIOS 01.20 Rev. A  System Software Manager Icon
29 Mar 2013

Then, after completing this BIOS update successfully, including power-down, then power-up as required, come back to the BIOS heading and this time select:

HP Z820 Workstations System BIOS

03.14 Rev. A  System Software Manager Icon
20 May 2013

This BIOS update is the latest for HP Z820.
