just bought 4 thin client T510 Flexible. I've attached USB printer ( a Brother HL-2040 or a Brother HL-2130 ) but it didn't redirect on the RDP session.
I've tried everything in my knowledge but without luck. In the Windows driver options I wrote EXACTLY the server-side name of the printer ( wich is actually the same name identified by the thin client ).
I noticed in system information that the RDP version is rdp is 1.6.0-1.45...
thank in advance.

I have the same problem but I managed to solve.
I bought 10 of these terminals T510 but with the same result on 3 different Windows server 2008 R2 Terminal different (updated to the latest patch).
Only one of these terminals sold the year before worked and so I checked the version of the software .
By installing the old version of the Smart Zero Client terminals the new T510 work with my printer in the terminal session.
Any new version does not work !
I've tried everything ... this add features such as password storage , support for Velocity , etc ... etc ... but the printer does not work anymore !
I think the change of protocol version RPD to give me problems .
Now I have one here in the office with which I'm trying to figure out if I can solve the problem with the latest versions of the software that I could use .
Back to us , install the Smart Core Zero Image Z6X41019 Rev. 1 ( 7 March 2012 ) and it should work .
PS You must put on the printer in T510 in the driver input the exact name of the driver that you see in Windows also not work .

You don't mention which OS you're running, but in ThinPro you have to specify where you want to redirect USB to (Citrix, RDP, etc). I would assume something similar to this exists in the other OS flavors, and I'd start there. On ThinPro 4, by default it's set to not redirect anywhere and I had to tell it to redirect to Citrix before mine would work.

Depends on what OS you have installed. If you boot it up and you get a start menu with HP then its running ThinPro. I have been able to get ThinPro to reconize USB Printers and then bring them to Citrix. The T510 can have either ThinPro ot Smart Zero. Smart Zero is just a very thin OS which Puts you right to RDP/Citrix/VM really has no other options.
