Windows XP Embedded upgrade

With Microsoft ending support for XP next April, does anyone know if HP is going to offer a license upgrade to Windows 7 Embedded for t5740 thin clients running XP Embedded?

Unfortunately, nothing is planned nor currently available from Microsoft in terms of upgrades/migrations.  There was a limited time when WES7 was first released where migration licenses were available, but they were from WES2009 to WES7.  

 

In addition to licensing requirements, you'll also likely need more flash & RAM to support WES7 - the minimum flash size is now 8GB and 2GB RAM.

Would have been nice if the t5740e had actually come with an 8gb module instead of the 4gb one. That hurt quite a bit.

 

We beat down the t510 image to a managable level and have started using that, you have about 500mb of room left on the device, EWF on so the space doesn't change.
