8200 Elite Microtower MT PC, need data sheet for motherboard/PSU

Hi.

I'm upgrading the Power Supply in my Hp Compaq 8200 Elite Microtower MT PC.

The motherboard /PSU uses an archaic connector, which looks like a 6-pin inline aux connector (http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b225/r4ch3t/Aux-connector-148x200.gif). But it's only connected with 4 wires (red/white, white, green, purple, -, -)

In order to upgrade the PSU i need to figure out how to connect it to the new motherboard, but I can't find any information or data sheet for the motherboard or the PSU.

Motherboard:

SP#611834-001

DG#611794-000

PSEYU0JCY0W197

AS#611793-003

REV 0J

PSU:

Model: PC9057

PART NUMBER: 611483-001

SPARE NUMBER: 613764-001

Where can I find more information about the motherboard/PSU?

What is the connector? Is it standardized in any way?

What is the needed voltages/ground combo for the pins?

Thanks

Re: 8200 Elite Microtower MT PC, need data sheet for motherboard/PSU

In order to upgrade my graphics card I had to replace:

  • The PSU (because the included one was underpowered and non-standard)
  • The Motherboard (because the included one had non-standard pinouts)
  • The Chassis (because of a non-standard motherboard format)

I thought that this kind of brazen disregard of standard was a thing of the past, despite HP's bad track record.

Be sure to stay away from HP Compaq's proprietary, non-standard, unrepairable and undocumented hardware if you can.
