T520 Flexible Thin Client
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

I have begun using HP Device Manager to support our thin clients across the floor.

We use the HP Logon Manager to automactially sign into the specific "User" account on boot up.  Which then loads into Kiosk mode to connect through the HP Cloud Management.

I have been trying to find out how to disable HP Logon Manager from HP Device Manager.

So far with what I have tested, if I send a task to the thin client from HPDM and the task causes a reboot of the machine the task is interupted due to the automatic sign on of the "User" account on the device.

You might want to try "autologcfg.exe"

Autologcfg.exe /OFF is used to disable HP Logon Manager.

Autologcfg /? to find more parameters to create your own DM template.

1. You can remote onto the Thin Client using "Shadow or Reverse Shadow" from HP Device Manager

2. Manually you have to switch to Administrator Mode from the User Login

3. Remove the User Credentials from the HP Logon Manager

I know how to change it manually.

I was trying to find if it was possible to do it directly from HPDM without having to manually touch (or shadow) 80 thin clients.

Example:

Setting up a Template Sequence to:

-disable Write Filter

-disable HP Logon Manager

-(reboot)

-Change system information -or- transfer files etc.

-re-enable HP logon Manager

-re-enable Write Filter

-reboot.

The Logon Manager is only impass stopping me from doing something like this.
