HP DesignJet 130nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have 2 older DesignJet 130nr printers.

Computer has Windows 10 64bit

I was able to install 1 printer and it works fine, the printer driver is the latest version (8.1) from website

When i went to try the second one, it tries to install the driver but then i get a message saying driver unavailable

and it says..."specified port is unknown"

I have tried removing the first one and reinstalling the second, but get the same message.

I can re-install the first printer and use it with no problems.

I also tried both printers on an old laptop that has XP on it.

on this computer i was able to install both printers with no problem.

Is there something missing from the second printer that is not allowing me to install it on a windows 10 computer??

I need to send these printers out of town for work and i am just trying to make sure they will work for us.

Any ideas??

thanks

Hi,

Have you check for any Windown updates pending?

Try another USB cable

Best regards
