Hi,

Here are some possible solutions

- You can clear the error by cleaning the scanner

- Delete all the jobs from the printer and scanner queue

- Doing a eerom reset

- Replacing the Scanner controler board

- Replacing CIS A

All depends on what is the printer doing when you get the error.

Best regards

You might want to check and see if HP offers a flat rate repair price for your machine.

Hi,

The only thing you can do is check the connections of the scanner controller board.

If you reset the conections and still get the error, you will need to have the parts replaced, as I mention before..

The problem is that one of the CIS has failed or is not detected. this because the CIS failed or the SCU failed

Hi Mike,

Is the control board easy to get at?

If so where is it located?

I can see a small board that all the cables (USB connections go to when i removed the display end of the printer, but cannot located the scnner board?

Thanks

Jamie

Hi,

The scanner controler board is on the top of the printer, were the CIS are.

The small board you are looking at tis the Interface Board.
