Hp Designjet T120 print cancelling at the very end

hello,

I am trying to print from Adobe Photoshop, an A1 Format Picture on SemiGlossy Roll.

But at the end of the printing, the last 2 cm are not printed.

I have noticed that the Plotter is actually Canelling the job.

Even if I create a custom paper size, the same thing happens

Please Can anyone help me

Should I Change the settings......

Thank You

Re: Hp Designjet T120 print cancelling at the very end

Hi,

Try creating a page size that the bigger than the actual image size? or selecting scale to fit the page size

Best regards

Re: Hp Designjet T120 print cancelling at the very end

Try updating the printer firmware and reinstalling the driver

Also try a different connection

Best regards

Re: Hp Designjet T120 print cancelling at the very end

Did you ever solve this problem?  I am running into the same issue.  It is very frustrating.  The printer wastes a whole sheet of paper, (and a ton of ink) only to cancel the job at the very end.  Any advice?

Re: Hp Designjet T120 print cancelling at the very end

Hi,

Make sure you have the latest Firmware and reinstall the driver, if there is a software problem.

First, take in consideration the printer margins

Margins (top x bottom x left x right)

Roll: 5 x 5 x 5 x 5 mm (0.2 x 0.2 x 0.2 x 0.2 in)

Sheet: 5 x 17 x 5 x 5 mm (0.2 x 0.67 x 0.2 x 0.2 in)

Check if your print is been cut at the end because of the margins.

Best regards

Re: Hp Designjet T120 print cancelling at the very end

[ Edited ]

Hi Mike G,

Thanks for the response.  I just unboxed this printer last week, it is brand new.  I ran the firmware check and it is up to date.

I don't think it is a margin error.  The print was set to "reduce to paper size" in one of my tests.  The print head makes the first pass over the last edge of the print, so I can see the final edge in a faded lighter color.  It just fails to make the next pass to darken the edge to its full color.

After the print cancels the printer feeds the roll and cuts the paper at the designated edge size.  (In my case 36")  The printed page ends up as 24x36 and the entire image is on it.  The error shows as the final edge of the print being faded from the print canceling before it is finished.

Any other ideas? Any other tests I should do?  I was thinking of trying to connect via USB cable (I am connected via wireless now) to see if that makes a difference, but I am reluctant to waste more paper and ink.

Re: Hp Designjet T120 print cancelling at the very end

Hi,

From what you lst describe, the printer is cancelling the job and not firing the last swat of ink.

Changing the connection is a good idea in case that there is not an estable connection.

Since it is a new printer, also try to call HP support to reinstall the driver clean, in case of a driver issue.

Best regards

Mike G

Re: Hp Designjet T120 print cancelling at the very end

Hi,

I'm having the same problem;

when printing a 'complex' drawing PDF (AutoCAD) the Designjet halts; it cancels the printing job itself halfway or almost at the end, then stops a while, then cuts of the paper. Unfinished....

I think it's a bufferproblem. The files are too complex.  I have other PDF files that will print correct, but only when I really have stopped (cancelled) this complex printing job myself, the buffer is clear for other printjobs.

Is there any way (please HP) to prevent this paper-wasting thing?

How can I see if a file is not too big to print? Or what should I do? I already 'converted' the big PDF to a smaller size (1.8mb), but still the same problems.

This Deskjet is brandnew, bought 2 weeks ago, so I don't think it's firmware or something.

But strange enough - these 'big' PDF files (4 mb) are perfectly printed in my old 'HP Laserjet 1000' (in A4 size though)

So please, any comments, or solutions!
