Im looking for a way in smartstream to print the name of the database file on the press sheet. I am hoping for a variable name that I can use in spread elements to automatically print the name of the database. If possible I would also like to see if I can get a variable name for the jobname also, that would be great.

Thank you,

you can set up a 2nd indesign document and use as header or footer.

We do this on all orders and have stopped using paper tickets since I can get all info on press sheets.

You can connect footer indesign document to main document under SmartStream Designer> Imposition > Spread Elements

Thank you for the response. So I setup a second indesign file with the name "Dataname" and placed it as a spread element in  my imposition. However, it only comes out on page 1. Any ideas on how to get this to be place on all the pages in the imposition?

How many pages are your projects? You have to apply to each page in spread elements.

Thank you, It worked. So what I did was placed information in all the columns of my database, resaved the file and updated. Thank you for the help.
