Aero Peek Thunbnails not displayed.

HP Pavillion P6230Y

Windows 7

Mirror drivers don't support Aero effects.

A running program uses a mirror driver which is not compatible with the Aero desktop.

HP Diagonstic Tools ran with the following Error message:

Failed Video Memory test VC-316-6W. Device manager indicates Software and drivers are installed correct and up to date.

HP support assistant states that aero is disabled. Cannot enable on required screen, area is greyed out.

Resolution 1600 x 900

Refresh rate 60

Driver 8.862.3.0 (20110629)

Re: Aero Peek Thunbnails not displayed.

Uninstall the miror device driver from the device manager.  The mirror device will be anything other than your integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200 series in the Display adapters section. After you have done that, exit Windows and start up your PC  again.
