Re: Beats software not installed?

Well, then this beats (!) me.

I made a clean install of Win7 Ultimate on my HPE h8-1125sc (Sweden), installed the software in question,

and Beats Audio is up and running.

Maybe HP support people in this forum can help you.

Good luck!

Re: Beats software not installed?

Your PC should have came with Beats enabled. HP is working on a making a downloadable solution available in the near future (3-4 weeks)

RasterBlaster,

Your answer is a bit confusing.

I did a format at my hard disk, made a clean install of Win7 Ultimate on my HPE h8-1125sc, installed the software in question, in my case sp54454.exe (HPE h8-1125sc), and Beats Audio is up and running.

Why would you create a solution to something that already works?

Re: Beats software not installed?

The way I understand is that there were certain PCs in Europe that were designated to receive Beats audio and they had the beats logo on the packaging, but the bits were not set correctly at the factory. Because of this, HP is working on providing a downloadable solution to "enable" Beats audio. It way be that you just did it the hard way. The download from HP would be an easier solution to the mix-up at the factory.

I am forwarding your comments to an engineer so that he will be aware of what you did to get it back.

Thank you very much for your contributions in the forum. It's customers like you that really help out and make a difference! Thanks!

Re: Beats software not installed?

So, I installed the update and the Beats software is working fine. The only problem is that the shortcuts (FN+B, CTRL+SHIFT+<) no longer work.. Every time I need to go to the beats64.exe folder and double click it to enable/disable the Beats software.. Is there a fix for this?

Re: Beats software not installed?

Sorry for the late reply... I can't play in the forums as much as I'd like.

If the update does not have the shortcut keypress functionality, then I would do a workaround and create a shortcut icon and put it on the Windows desktop or taskbar... if you use it a lot.
