Compaq WF1907 auto adjust/volume control

My grandpa just got a presario that came bundled with this 19inch wide screen monitor. They display looks great but the monitor auto adjusts quite frequently and it confuses and frustrates him. We just got the computer at walmart last week and it is using all of the default resolution settings the factory set.

What's happening is the screen will popup this black window that says auto adjust in progress or something like that and it takes like 30 seconds before it goes away. This is really frustrating and annoying because you could be in the middle of something and then you get interrupted. If this only happened each time it booted up that wouldn't be a problem. But the fact is that it happens many times during a session and I can't figure out how to get rid of it.

Try resetting the monitor settings to factory default using the MENU button on the lcd, then check the video driver and maybe reinstall the original one and lastly check the resolution for your display settings and make sure it's set to 1440x900.
