Hi summery,
You will need to have a video card in your PC that support two video output ports. Review this article.
This AGP video card has HD connection capabilities via a DVI or HDMI cable. It also has a VGA connector.
Be sure to match the power supply requirements of the video card to the power supply in your PC. I suspect that the power supply in your PC is not big enough.
You might want to consider a new PC as getting a HD video stream to play without stuttering with your PC might be challenge if not even possible. You need to have a PC with faster memory and also a faster front side bus.

Big Dave Thank you for your suggestion. I have no DVI or HDMI sockets on my p.c. so it seems I cannot connect a video card, unless I use my VGA monitor port. Maybe I will have to exchange my modem for a wireless router and connect that to my tv with an ethernet cable. My pc has 400 MHz bus speed, but I do not know if that is what you mean by the power supply to my pc.
Summery.

I was thinking of doing the samething of hooking my PC to TV, by wireless connection, but changed my mind after reading articles concerning the dater transfer rate of wireless connections. What I have read, is that the rate of transfer by wireless, is not fast enough to have the display of a TV work right. Wire connections transfer dater much, much faster then wireless.
I added a new card to my computer to connect by wire.
My I suggest that you surf the net and read article on wire and wireless connection.
Have a good day

I had a P4 (still here as a backup) and installed a 8400GS video card (silent with no fan needing power) and it worked great watching net movies on my Samsung 50" HDTV

This was the first information that actually helped me. I bought Satellite Direct software that allows me to watch 24/7 access to thousands of television channels from my PC. I paid a 1 time fee for software and now I can watch from my TV with no monthly cable bill. AWSOME!!!!!!
THANKS
