Hello,
I have a Pavilion HPE h8-1114 PC which has one DVI and one HDMI monitor port. I have one VGA monitor connected to the DVI port using an adaptor. I have a second VGA monitor I would like to connect but I understand it cannot be connected to the HDMI port. Are there any other options besides purchasing an HDMI monitor? Can I use one of the covered ports which I think is VGA? (I assume not.) Can I add a second graphics card with a VGA port and use both monitors? (I saw on another post that adding another graphics card might disable the existing card.) Can I switch to a card that supports two VGA or DVI ports?
Thank you!

Hi,
In the standard configuration:
1) Up to 2 displays at the same time in these configurations: HDMI +DVI and HDMI +VGA (VGA through adapter cable)
2) Integrated video is not available if a graphics card is installed ( the covered VGA port is disbled because a video card id installed)
Yes. You can replace the installed card with one (PCIe x16 ) that has two DVI-I ports. A second card is a no go. There is only one PCIe x16 slot. The two small black slots below the larger black slots (PCIe x16) are PCIe x1 slots and those are not for video cards.

In addition to what erico said, there are other options. You could use an EVGA UV Plus+ 19 USB-to-video adapter or you could add a PCIe x1 graphics card. If going with a PCIe x1 card, use a Nvidia card... results will be best this way.

That is a good catch. The EVGA UV Plus 19 is a new product.
