Based on the online pdf manual I read, the s-video is used for mostly tv/setup boxes purposes in Windows Media Center.
I believe you can get it work by connecting it, turn on your 360, open Windows Media Center and go to Settings, Setup TV Signal and follow and prompts and should work.
Or you can use another application to display your video signal from the svideo such as VLC Media Player and I know there's gotta be more out there.
You can't really switch to the s-video mode like you would normall would with VGA/HDMI/DVI. It just needs the right software to show you the video.
It may not be in full screeen always either.

Hi after much consultation with HP ''technical'' staff i was no better off to finding a solution. I tried setting it up using tv setup in the windows media center but alas i am stuck again. I get as far as viewing the xbox 360 screen in a small window on the IQ500/ media center tv setup screen.. I can control this screen using the regular xbox controller. Prior to this i am asked if a have a set top box. In order to continue i have to select yes. However after I view the xbox highlights screen, I am told that windows media player cannot detect my 'ir reciever' or 'ir cables'. I dont have one, or understand why i need one. But it is at this point that i cannot continue with setup of tv and end up back at the start. There are no other options only to select 'back' or 'finish'. I have tried all possible combinations of satellite instead of cable or ariel as source of signal.
It is extremely fustrating as i can see, hear and control the xbox on the iq500 screen, but it is just too small to play on.
Any ideas? Cheers.
