Desktop screen doesn't fill monitor

I've got a display problem with my new Desktop Computer - It's an All-In-One HP Touchsmart IQ826t, and for the life of me I can't find where to change the options for my desktop screen so it will fill the whole space allowed by monitor. I've got a 1" black border on right and left sides, and about a 1/4" border on top and  bottom! I've looked in Control Panel/Display already but nothing changed it. Where are the settings to fix this?
