EliteOne 800 G1

Hi,

Is it possible to use my EliteOne 800 G1 as an external monitor?

In other words, I would like to connect the output displayport of my notebook to the EliteOne displayport.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

The Display port on your laptop is ALSO an output port. Connecting 2 output ports together will getting nowhere.

Hope this makes sense.

The DisplayPort on Apple iMacs can be used as input/output port, so it is possible to use the iMac as an external display or to connect the iMac to an external display.

That's why I asked this question.

I thought that the DisplayPort of HP EliteOne 800 G1 had the same feature but it seems it doesn't, right?

I do not own a hp eliteone 800, but according the specs it does not have such feature.

The hp z1 all-in-one workstation indeed has such feature - to be used as external monitor. It is realized via Ctrl+Shift+S+D (Switch Display). The function is verified to be working.
