Green tint on monitor screen

Hello, I have an HP DV6-2008AX Laptop connected to a HP L1906 19" monitor via VGA cable, everything works fine on the monitor apart from that everything on the screen is tinted green, I have tried everything like changing screen resolution even down too uninstalling and re-installing my graphics drivers but none of that has worked for me so far. I have bought a new VGA cable to see if it was the cable and it wasnt. The monitor works on my friends Vista OS and his PC is older than mine so it should work on mine. Here are my system specs:
