Hi,
New to this so please bear with me.
Just purchased a HP Pavilion p6149f and have a Sharp 26 inch lcd TV.
I just plugged a regular old monitor cable between each device but was unable to get any sound from the TV.
Just now I plugged in a set of Bose speakers to the back of the HP and have sound.
My questions are do I need a seperate cable for this configuration so I don't have to use my Bose speakers which I need for another PC?
Also I've noticed that the the website visual on my TV keeps twitching from side to side.
The cable is secure so it is not a loose connection.
The back of my HP has sockets for sound in and out / digital sound in and also out / a socket for 1394 (don't know what that is)
The TV has a bunch of sockets which include Analog RGB - to which I have plugged the cable from the back of the PC.
Also has HDMI , audio left and right, digital audio uotput and a buch of other sockets.
What cable can I buy to connect the two without using my speakers.
Final thought, I watched a movie trailer from Youtube and everything was fine but when on a website some of the text appears to be fading away.
The twitching of the picture comes and goes at various times.
Any ideas on the above?
Thank you for your help.

Rodoki, what is the actual model of your computer? I can't find any specs on HP Pavilion p6149f.
Are you using a standalone video card or the Integrated Video on the motherboard?
It sounds like the connection that you are using is causing the flickering of the picture. I will try to help more when I can review the specs of your computer.
