Re: HP 2011x monitor

What is 'everything'?
The desktop of your pc?

Change the settings at the pc side.

Re: HP 2011x monitor

I am having issues.

I just received a new laptop PC (HP6460b) as well as the associated docking station and I have an HP 2011x monitor.  The PC came loaded with Windows 7.

So once I initially started my PC and customized it (loaded in all of my personal software), I connected my Monitor up to the docking station.  I know that the recommended resolution for this monitor is 1600x900.  When my PC came up after I rebooted, the monitor tried to set the resolution to 1600x900, but nothing happened.  When I tried to go into the display resolution (right click on the desktop),  1600x900 wasn't listed as a choice.  I went and installed the Monitor drivers that were included with the monitor but I still didn't have the option to select 1600x900.

I had this monitor hooked up to my older laptop which ran Windows xp and it didn't have any issue of setting the resolution to 1600x900.  I know that when I went to the MS site, there were many issues by other people with my same situation, and they had stated that (more on the desktop side) that they should go to the video card manufacturer to see if they had a fix to allow 1600x900 with windows 7.

Please tell me that there is a simple solution to this issue of mine.

Thank you in advance.

Re: HP 2011x monitor

I have tried using the change settings on my pc, and also the physical reset on my monitor. That is what "everything" means. Doesn't work. Have tried several times. The icons on my desktop are very large, can't read emails because the words are huge and going off the screen.

>I have tried using the change settings on my pc
... and what resolution is set?
Can you give us more informations?
We don't sit in front of your pc ....

If you switch off the monitor and then on again, which resolution is it showing? (Normally the monitor tells the current resolution and the optimal resolution.)

I think it's pc related, so what model are we talking about?
Which graphics driver do you use?
Have you searched for a newer one?
