HP Pavilion dv6700 screen went black and nothing answers

I turned on my computer yesterdsay and everything went normally, I logged in but then the mouse pad or touch buttons for the volume and all that wouldn't answer. The screen would work normally thought, as a youtube video was playing. I then proceeded to turn my computer off because I tought it was a minor bug of freeze. However, now whenever I try to turn my computer on, the screen stays black no matter what I do, and no buttons answer, except the power button. The screen has absolutely nothing on it, and I dont know what to do. I know the computer is running, as I can hear it, but realy nothing works. There are many important files in that computer, as I had it for about 4 years now, and I am a little bit desespered. Is there anything to do ???

I tried to restart it many times but nothing will do, I am very scared

Hi,

Try a Hard Reset as follows.

Shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold  down the Power button for a full minute.  Re-insert the battery, plug in the AC Adapter and see if the notebook will start.

Do you have any idea what could cause such a thing? So I can prevent it from happening again.
