HP Pavillion Elite Windows 7 - TV tuner remote does not operate the TV.

Remote appears to be working as operation light works and reciever on the tower lights up too but no functions appaear

Things to try:

- Change batteries with new pair.
- Were any of the internals changed? If so, there might be a cable pugged into the wrong spot or became uplugged. The IR receiver is a USB device and is plugged into the USB headers on teh motherboard.
- Was it working fine before? If so, System Restore back to when it was working.
