I have looked all throughout my comp, and it says everything is working fine, but no sound will come out of my spkrs.

Re: HP p6540y-

Hi,

if your hdphones work at the same port, where the spkrs doesn't work, then it's not a pc problem.
Are they active speakers?
Do they have power supply?
Is all connected properly?
Any light on?
Check loudness button.

Re: HP p6540y-

The headphones do not work in the same port, speakers do have a power supply, light is on. Thank you for your response.

Re: HP p6540y-

Try the speakers when the headphones are disconnected.
Also try them at the other port.

Re: HP p6540y-

I have tried those and still no sound from my new or old spkrs. According to what I have looked at, everything should be working. All volumes are up, no mutes, and my equalizer shows sound coming from my skrs, but no sound is actually emitted.

Thank you for your assistance.

All the best,
