Since I came home today and turned the pc on, the monitor is displaying a different resolution.
When I go to display settings to change it back to the proper resolution: 1650 x 1050, the option is not there. It also shows the monitor in Display Settings as "1. Generic Non-PnP Monitor on NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT.
The highest resolution I can choose is 1600 x 1200 which is not the recommened setting and looks aweful and stretched.
Could anyone please help me with this issue?
Many thanks!
Edit: it looks like the computer doesn't recognise the moniter as a hp v220 and thinks it's a Generic Non-PnP Monitor.

Hey everyone, so I have an pretty similar problem.
I have HP v220 22" monitor aswell and I've used the 1600x1200 resolution pretty long time and got pretty used it, now it have disappeared (biggest one I can choose is 1680x1050, which looks crappy to me and hurts my eyes btw) from the options so how could I set it back to mine resolution?
