Hi appreciate any help. Plugged in my HP w185 monitor into my tower and now it's stuck in 640 X 480 resolution
I went to download the driver and tried to install it and it says "access denied" followed by
- Click Next to install the display drivers for the following displays:
HP w185 Wide LCD Monitor (Version 1.0.0.0)
- The display drivers have been installed on your system. Please connect the display and restart Windows.
I went to device manager and there is no monitor tab and I am unable to get out of 640 X 480 resolution. Any way to get my computer to recognise my new monitor and get back the ability to change resolution?
Thanks

Access denied in Vista - get updated software:

However, you should not even need to install the monitor software because the monitor is plug and play. What happens if you connect another monitor to the pc?
Please post rather than send me a Message. It's good for the community and I might not be able to get back quickly. - Thank you.
