I have a pavillion desktop with a HP w2207h widescreen flat-panel monitor and brightview panel.There are 2 usb 's on the side.That are not active.I am on a vista home OS.How do I activate them.The screen is connected to the computer with and HDMI cable.What do I have to do?   chester meyeroff  [Personal Information Removed]

Hi,

The monitor is able to serve as a usb hub for the pc. You have to connect a usb cable from the pc to the usb plug (type B) on the back of the monitor. That plug is found beside the vga port.

Afterwards, any device you plug to the monitor will be detected by the pc.

thank you.I didnt see that slot on the screen when I looked.The pisctures in the manual didnt show where they were clearly.Everything is working fine right now.But while I am at it.Tell me why I can't download  flash player on my pavillion 64bit vista on the explorer browser only on google chrome.

when I try to boot up a msg say fan failed press F2.I opened the computer checked.Both fans in my pavillion m9340f were working.No visible dust but I vaccuum it.Is there anything else to do

Are you having problem installing flash player on Internet explorer or on Google Chrome?

Google Chrome has built-in flash player. Can you tell me what version is your internet explorer?

If your fans are working well but your bios say otherwise, their could be something wrong with the fan speed sensor. You could try to disable the fan sensor in the bios or decrease the speed threshold for the warning
