I have a hp 2509 that flickers for a long time and then works correctly

It happens with windows XP, Windows 7, Linux & my Roku box.  I use this for a lot of different stuff and it does the same thing regardless of what I am running it on.  I use vga dvi and hdmi

How do I call someone about my monitor.  I paid 300$ for it, it should work. 

Is there something wrong with it ?

Did you find out anything??  I have HP2509m and it suddenly began doing the same thing as yours.

This is most likely a backlight inverter and/or lamp issue. The inverter is a circuit that supplies the backlight lamps with electricity to illuminate the screen. This is not a do-it-yourself repair and based on other posts on the forum, the parts are impossible to come by.

Please contact HP Customer Support for warranty service if the unit is still under warranty.

Does the answer mean that there is no repair available for the 2509 monitor with the inverter problem?  Meaning, it is not worth repairing.  (I bought a new 2511 so maybe I should stop there!)
