I have the w2408 24" monitor and when I rotate the screen the applications will not adjust to the portrait perspective. When I use the settings buttons in the lower right corner of the screen to change color, positioning, etc. everything displays properly whether I am in landscape or portrait with the monitor. There must be a setting that I need to change somewhere but the HP site is not helping me.
Thanks

Have you installed the 'pivot' software?
Check this:

or check the cd which came with the monitor.

Interesting. Are you using Win 7? I just upgraded, and my w2408 works fine in portrait but will not change to landscape when I rotate my screen. I wonder if our respective symptoms will provide a clue to an HP guru.

I'm using Vista Home. I'm guessing that whatever position your screen is in when the failure occurs, there it will stay; never to change again. Interestingly the screen menus will recognize the screen position.
I have tried the link referenced above, but I haven't been able to get it to work; of course I haven't had time to focus on the fix either. I will get back to it soon.... I hope!
Thanks to all and any other suggestions are welcome.
