LP2475W won't wake up after system standby

I found a solution for my config. with Radeon X300 and catalyst version 93.

in catalyst center I created 2 hot keys, Alt+s changes screen resolution to 1360x768, Alt+h changes screen resolution to 1920x1200.

I have:

default video input = composite video

auto detect = on

auto switch = on

quick select = off.

When Monitor is in sleep mode I do:

1. Press PIP/POP -> green light comes on

2. Alt+s  -> no visible effect

3. Just when the message "Monitor going to sleep" appears press Alt+h

4. Screen is back

Rather complicated but similar to solution of rchuri.I

I dont see the option to "Create" a hotkey in the manager, am I going blind or just not looking in the right spot?

I have Catalyst Control Center 9.3. When I start it up there is a menu bar at the top. There is a menu "Profiles". Select there menu item "Profiles Manager". Now enter any name as profile name. Next select Tab "activation", select "Hotkeys assignement" and fill out the data. In the end do a "Save", and activate this profile.

This way you have created your default profile, which you can activate anytime with the hotkey.

Next, change in "Display properties" the display area to "1360x768". Then you repeat the above process, so you save this new profile and assign it a new hotkey. This new profile you can activate using the second hotkey.

 These profiles are quite useful. You could also create a hotkey which instantly switches the screen to portrait format.

In a previous note i mentioned that the issue for me somehow sorted itself out. Well... that didn't last for long!

I have hotkeys set up for changing to portrait or landscape and when i tried to do this on one occassion, there was a glitch, my system froze and the catalyst VDU recovery kicked in to rescue me. After that the problem with DVI signal not being detected returned. How frustrating!

I read Walters note and wanted to try this, only i pressed the scan button by mistake on my monitor before i was ready. My settings are:

Monitor does not go to sleep

Quick select = on

auto switch = on

auto detect = on

default video = DVI 1

I did however manage to get my screen to appear by doing the following:

wait for the scan facility to stop scanning (not find anything) and for the dialog box to disappear

press pip/pop button

press hot key for portrait mode - signal came back at this point, then i switched back to landscape. It would have probably worked by pressing the landscape hot key straight off as well i think.

Whilst it is a relief that there is a reasonably straight forward recovery workaround, it is still frustrating. I believe the issue lies with the graphics drivers or accompanying software (ATI and Catalyst in my case). I wish they would admit this and investigate.

I have exactly the same problem with ATI All In Wonder Radeon 9800 PRO and HP LP2474W connected via DVI.

Motherboard BIOS, video drivers and monitor are all updated but no luck. The monitor goes to sleep as required by power saving settings but doesn't wake up when I move the mouse or hit the keyboard.

If I switch off the monitor while the computer is running, and switch back on the monitor does not detect the DVI input anf goes to sleep mode. 

The same thing happens in Vista Home Premium 32 bit, Windows 7 beta and Ubuntu 8.10.

However, when I connect the monitor via VGA adapter everything works OK in all operating systems.

My computer has the following configuration

ABIT IC7 Max 3,

Pentim 4 HT, 3.0 GHz,

AIW Radeon 9800 PRO

USB Wireless Mouse

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

I am still having the same problem with my monitor.. I have tried using the hotkey solutions to switch resolutions and that did not work. I have also tried using the hotkeys to rotate the screen and that has worked 2 times out of many attempts.. 

It really sucks that there is not a solution for this yet.. Right now I just try to leave the monitor and computer on as much as possible and disable all power saving features when I need the computer.

I just bought a new HP dc7900 (display port & vga connectors with it's onboard graphic card, the HP LP2475w Monitor should be digitally connected to the computer. Same problem as you described (seems to have nothing to do with your graphic card): the monitor doesn't wake up when the computer is resuming from it's energy saving mode.
The solution is as simple as it could be :
Connect the VGA output of the computer to the DVI-1 Input of the monitor with the DVI to VGA signal cable. Connect the computer DisplayPort output with the monitor DisplayPort input. Select DisplayPort as standard video input. When resuming, the VGA connection starts up the monitor immediately and the DisplayPort connection manages the rest of the "Schützenfest".

Sorry man, but you shouldnt have to be going through all this mess to get such a nice monitor working. Looks like according to HP's website you have the option of three different ATI video cards(which throws you under the same bus as the rest of us). I just finished building a new i7 machine and I installed the EVGA GTX260 SuperClocked card, becuase I already knew about the problems with ATI cards. And with this EVGA card in my new machine my HP LP2475 monitor is working PERFECTLY. No swapping cables, no VGA to DVI, no random key strokes, I can set all my energy saving features back to normal and it just WORKS.

Sorry ATI and HP but you guys need to figure out whats wrong! Until then, I am staying clear of ATI cards....

Its good to know that the monitor works fine with other cards. I wonder how Nvidia would get on with the LP2475w.
