Monitor flickering - HP 2510i

Hey! I have a problem with my HP 2510i monitor. It started flickering randomly every time I started Counter Strike Source, but eventually it stopped. After some weeks the flickering started to happen more often and even when I didn’t play CSS and it took longer for it to go away. For about a month now, I’ve been unable to use the monitor, since the flickering has become permanent. I’ve tried everything to fix it. I have followed every step on the HP guide to fix flickering, including re-installing my drivers and changing from a dvi to a vga cable. Can it be fixed or is the screen permanently broken?
