Monitor

I am having trouble getting an acer al 1912 monitor to work with my Hp P6 2002uk computer using windows 7 64 bit. I was using an old Dell CRT monitor.

Well, what kind of trouble??

Most CRT's have been running with higher refresh rates than a LCD can run.
Maybe it helps to change this before changing the monitors.
Else try to boot in safe mode and change graphics settings there.
