My calendar gadget

Previously, I had a calendar gadget in my sidebar (Windows Vista).  Now all I get is a blank calendar colored orange.

I have the same problem. The calendar has disappeared.

Deleting the clock and then bringing it back doesn't help

I have just the clock now and no calendar.  Very frustrating.

I'm new to this forum, but I have the same (similar?) problem.  Each time I start the computer the calendar gadget appears on the screen, but only shows date info about half the time.  It's there sometimes, but not consistently.

I have  a Compaq Presario CQ5700Y desktop running Windows 7.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

This is a follow-up to my request for help.  I chatted with HP Support and they walked me through the steps to fix this.  It involves going to Command Prompt and registering the vbscript.dll file and ending process "sidebar.exe".  Then we restarted the gadgets.

I don't know if this works for other models/operating systems,  but if any one wants the details, I printed the chat and can relay the info.
