My screen says no signal

Hi there. I have a proplem with my pc. When i turn it on the screen says "no signal" and just go on standby. And i cant do anything. just keep on being black screen. i tryed reboot pc but that does not help at all. Ive also tryed to take out all the sticks out of the back on the pc but that does not help eighter. And i also tryed to shut down my pc screen but that does not help Eighter.. nothing seems to be helping. what could it be??. 

Its a Hp pavilion a6000, thanks for reading. hope you can help me out.

Ps. this is a update where im trying to tell a little more of the proplem than my other post

Hi,

I would check the cable from the machine to the monitor first. Please reseat the cable or borrow a different cable from friend to test and post back.

Hi there. thanks for reply. But im pretty sure the caple is working fine because thats the caple and screen im useing now. just another Computer
