Just purchased a HP h8-1211 AMD FX-6100 running Win 7 - 64 bit. Nice machine but no audio playback. Device Manager says everything is ok. Help pages here directed me to set up speakers. Did that and ran through the tests and I did get sound from the speakers so I know they are working. When I went through "Troubleshooting" it showed "Speakers/Headphones on front side of computer". There is no option to select the speaker output on the back of the computer. Is there some way to add to the list so that I can select the speakers plugged in to the back of the computer and set them as default? I believe this is the problem, but I don't know how to correct it.

Never mind. On a whim I cranked the speakers up to 3/4 and I had audio. Strange though, when I had these speakers on my other computer, if I went over 1/4 on the volume, the walls were shaking. Of course I was using a dedicated sound card so that was probably the difference. I adjusted the volume controls on the computer to 100% and I have the speaker volume at just under half. Not quite the same as it was before, but I can live with it.
Thanks anyway, and sorry if I wasted anyone's time.
