No sound

I have a HP Pavilion p6 sereis - p6-2031.  I have managed to set it up on my own but have no sound.  When I attached headphones the sound was there.  Does this model require external speakers or am I missing something?

Hi Pegdoll,

 

You need to have speakers. Your PC is just the PC. Some monitors have speakers so you can check if yours does and then connect the audio cable from the computer to the monitor. Or you may have to get PC speakers.

...an HP employee just trying to help where I can, but not speaking on behalf of HP.
