PCI-e Video add in card

I have tried several PCI-E video cards that offer dual monitor capabilities, 1-VGA & 1-DVI however the system is not recognizing.accepting the cards.  No error messages are displayed.  The integrated on board video will still work while the cards are installed.  I have tried all three settings in the CMOS set up for video and the Bios has been upgraded.  Any suggestions???   Thanks, Mike

Re: PCI-e Video add in card

Mike,

What model PC are your using?  What video carde are you using? Open up the PC and read the label on the power supply.  What is the total wattage and the amperage on the 12+ volt bus?
