Presario S6500NX Integrated Graphics + AGP graphics?

Hello, i have a Presario S6500NX

It has a AGP graphics card as it's present primarry display adaptor.

It's running well and lovely.

However, I am aware that this motherboard also has a Integrated Graphics processor,

as evedent by the VGA port on the motherboard itself.

Yet from in Device manager, only the AGP card is recognised.

There is no secondary graphics adaptor indicated.

Please instruct me in the process of enabeling BOTH at the same time?

I would like to use both the Integrated Graphics processor,

and the AGP graphics card at the same time.

I am familiar with Bios, the Device manager, the Control pannel and Safe mode,

And i have frequently installed PCI cards and ram inside the pc,

so i'm not afraid of mucking about with motherboard jumpers if any are required.

Please provide information on how to enable my Integrated Graphics processor,

and the AGP graphics card at the same time.  I wish to use multiple monitors.

Thank you

I do not believe it is possible to have both the integrated graphics and AGP slot active at the same time.  If you want to use dual monitors, you will need to acquire an AGP video card that supports that by itself.

Re: Presario S6500NX Integrated Graphics + AGP graphics?

I would like to use 3 monitors actually.

I allready have Dual monitors running off the AGP card.

My hope was to run a third low resolution VGA for a low-rez monitor i have here.

Are you sure there is no way to run both at once?

Where are you getting the info from that indicates this?

Please share.

Re: Presario S6500NX Integrated Graphics + AGP graphics?

Onboard graphics are automatically disabled in BIOS when an AGP card is installed. You could however add a PCI graphics card to run with the AGP.(Not the newer PCI-E).
