Thx Frank!
After reading your previous response this a.m. I decided it wasn't worth trying to do two DVI connections, so Monday I'll check locally about trading the DVI cable for the monitor for a VGA cable.
I'd previously read that DVI was far superior to VGA, so I didn't want to sacrifice video quality.
Maybe I'm over thinking and trying too hard.
Thx for showing me the solution.
Chas

One more question. When using both DVI for TV and VGA for Monitor will the resol;utions be automatically set? If so will they be mat the maximums I previously posted?

Because you have a HD4200, you normally will use AMD Catalyst to define multiple displays:

With installed drivers for monitor and tv the pc will know the best resolution and will offer it, else you just change it with the software.
Sorry that I couldn't help you.

@Frank:
>2) Computer > HDMI cable > monitor and computer > VGA cable > HDTV (PC IN)
I believe you mean computer > DVI-D cable > monitor, right?
