I have a slim HP with a GeForce 9300ge graphics card. It has both DVI and HDMI sockets. I want to use both a monitor and TV at the same time with these two sockets. I seem to be only able to use one or the other. IS THIS NORMAL or should I be able to use both.

Bill, when you say monitor and TV, is the TV LCD/Plasma or CRT? Also, which OS are you using?
I have been doing some research and can't find any definitive answer to your question. However, my gut feeling tells me that your card may not be up to the task. I will do more research when you answer my questions.
I am using XP Pro with a XFX 4870 XXX video card. When I open the "Display" module in the "Control Panel" and "Settings", it shows that I can use two monitors.

I seem to have solved my own problem. I was opwning the NVIDIA control panel with only the monitor attached to the DVI output. With both the LCD TV and the moniton attached via DVI and HDMI cables, when I onpen the NVIDIA contro panel I see two displays and can clone the image. It works now.
Thanks.
The first time I tried to do this I had both TV and Monitor turned on when I turned on the computer, and got no display on either.
By plugging in the second display when the system was up, the second display appeared in the NVIDIA control panel.
