hey guys,
I currently own a e9180t system and i would like to upgrade my video card (nvidia geforce gt 220) to an ati radeon 4850 or 4890 card. Will it fit in my system and im also interested in buying a corsair 650w power supply :http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Corsair+-+650W+ATX+CP
the dimensions of my power supply are 3.3" x 5.8" x 5.5" (H x W x D) and the one that i wana buy (corsair 650w power supply) is : 3.4 x 5.9 x 5.5
any suggestions? should i go ahead with these parts

Adeel, here is the same PSU at Newegg. Newegg has FREE shipping. It appears that the measurements on BestBuy's website are different. The length and width are both 5.9". You can look at the space provided to see if there is any wiggle room.
As for the video card, you can measure the space provided. Measure from the back of the case to the opposite side of the motherboard where the PCIE slot is located. This is basically the length of the card that will fit. I like XFX, BFG, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order. These are all good manufacturers. You could also think about a 4870. It is 9.5" in length. I have a XFX 4870 XXX 1GB. It is a great card. It is my second XFX card.
Let us know if you have further questions.

thanks for replying yes there is some room for the power supply, there is also some room for the graphics card but right below the end of the 9.5 measurement there is some sort of clip on the motherboard, i wonder if that will come in the way of the card, how is that card in terms of heat (4870) and have you installed the card in an hp case? perhaps you could reccomend me a good card that is not as long as this one? (4850 i guess) it could help me if you can find a picture of wat the e1980t system looks like from the inside and then advise me about it.

Adeel, you are welcome. Normally, the cards will sit up high enough to clear any chips on the motherboard. The chip that you see is the South Bridge chip with what appears to be a heatsink covering it. I don't believe that it will cause you any problems.
The 4870 runs fairly hot. I simply adjust the fan speed using the 'ATI Catalyst Control Panel' that comes with it. Here is a link to the download site for it. You can read the information on it.
No, I have not installed it in a HP case. However, the main thing is to do some cable management. You simply move the cables so they don't block airflow to any of the components. Then, hold them in place with cable ties.
Here is a link to the 'Product Specifications' pages for your computer. In the link titled 'Motherboard Specifications' there is a diagram of your motherboard. Any card that is 9" long should fit even better. Once you find the card that you want, you can check the measurements on the manufacturer's website or ask their Custome Support.
If you require further assistance, let us know.

thanks for replying again. one more question. should the fan of the power supply be pointing towards up or down? (the power supply will be mounted on top portion of the case) and for 4890 requirements it says (2) 75 Watt 6-pin PCI-E Connectors - CrossFireX 600 Watt Power Supply with (4) 6-pin Connectors. will these 6 pin connectors be included with the power supply?

Adeel, the PSU is mounted so the fan is facing into the case (down). Make certain that the writing on the back of it, where the screw holes are located, is so you can read it.
The 650W Corsair actually comes with 2 x [6 +2] PCIE connectors. There is a 6 pin connector and a 2 pin connector. You will only use the 6 pin connectors. There are video cards that actually require 2 x 8 pin connectors. Here is a XFX 4890 1GB. It only requires 2 x 6 pin connectors. Look in the 'Specifications' section.
