Just bought HP e9120y - what kind of video card upgrade can I make?

Any PCI-E x16 graphics card will work.

You already have nVidia 9000 series integrated into the board, so if you get a new card, go for at least a 9000 series card to replace it.  200 series would be even better.

You can also opt for an ATI card, but I'm not too familiar with those since my last experience with them was an AGP card.

Pay very close attention to the power requirements for the graphics card you purchase; you only have a 300W power supply in your computer, so you will likely have to upgrade that.

Also, pay attention to the size of the card.  The newer cards are much longer and the profile of many is "Double".  The 300W PSU is going to be your biggest limiting factor, however.

Hey - the HPe9120y I purchased has an ATI 4350 interated card.  I don't know if this makes a difference or not as far as being able to upgrade the card?

Dcars, this is not a problem.  Your motherboard has a PCIE X16 slot for a standalone video card.  You can use either an ATI or nVidia based card.  It will make no difference.  When you install the new standalone card, the integrated video/graphics will be disabled automatically.  You simply install the latest drivers for the card (ATI/nVidia) that you buy.  Be certain to pay attention to the size of the card.  The newer cards are huge.
