Product: HP Pavilion p6130f
OS: Vista 64-bit QUADCORE
Video always slows down in fullscreen after 15-25 minutes both on DVD and online. Everything else on the computer works fine.
It was advertised as a quadcore and property specifications also list it as such on the computer itself. I was led to understand that this was better for media.
I have another loder HP Pailion, which is a dual core and I have absolutely NO issues like this at all.

The video chip on the motherboard is probably over heating or is faulty. The other possibility is that there are known issues with the motherboard in your PC. You can search the forum to get more information.
If you don't have a discrete video card, then I would recommend that you get one. Review this posted document for background information.
Another possiblity is that the processor heat sink is full of dust. Use a can of compressed air to blow the dust out of the heat sink and PC. Make sure that your PC is getting plently of cool air.

If it is a heat issue then as the electronics heat up the impedance changes. The electronics will operate differently when excessive heat is reached. Some components will "throttle back" in an attempt to reduce heat and if that process doesn't work then a totally shut down may occur. The worse case scenario is that excessive heat will permanently damage the component.
